Hi
We are going to build a captive portal for 1200 users. I would be a layer 3 portal, and no NAT.
I dont even know if it supposed to work, but because of the L3, we do not know the client MAC. I was hoping that if using the relay, it would/could record the mac-address, and be able to use it in the hotspot.
However, when i set the “local” address of the relay, the giaddr that our ISC server receives, is the LAN ip of the hotspot. It is not what is specified in the relay setup.
Am i doing something wrong, or is it ROS?
Are there any other version recommended for x86 hotspot? It is a 2.8 quad core Xenon that we are using.
Regards
Kim
