OK,
I have a question. How can 1 MAC address/user take 22+ IP addresses from the pool, but only have 1 IP leased through the DHCP server..
There are a few clients on one of my hotspot networks, where I authenticate via MAC address, that are filling up my DHCP Pools causing DHCP not to respond to requests and kicking back an error - “there are no more addresses available in the pool”. I’m looking at my Used Addresses in the pool and there are 20+ IP’s being “used” by ONE MAC address.. What the heck is going on here?!
I just noticed in the hotspot setup there was an option for “Address per MAC” that was not specified. I changed the value to one, hopefully that corrects my problem. Any comments/suggestions appreciated.
Thanks,
Bill
