A few years ago I created a post asking about how to get DHCPV6 Relay to route properly. http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/ospfv3-dhcpv6-relay-not-routing-correctly/149459/1
I was told by mrz that relay cannot handle routes, and that it must become smarter. That they planned to implement this in the future. Well it’s been a few years and the DHCPV6 Relay still doesn’t even have a wiki entry.
We use a centralized dhcp server for all of our ipv4, authenticated by radius, without a way to also centralize dhcpv6 we have no way to implement the dual stack queues and properly limit our clients.
Have I missed something? Is there a way to make DHCPV6 Relay pass along routing information? Is there any other way to make a centralized DHCPV6 server work over multiple routing hops?
Assuming DHCPV6 Relay support to be dead, I ask the ISP’s of this forum: How are you implementing IPV6 on your networks?
Thanks for any input
