Did someone make cisco ISG functions on MRouterOS?

most of all I need

  • to change speed limit on pppoe interface without disconnecting pppoe session
  • to make different limit speed on different direction (src/dst IP) - for example I need torrent traffic in home LAN limit by 5Mbit/s - and internet traffic 1Mbit/s - can I do it via radius AV Pairs?

Can I do it with RouterOS?

automatically it is not possible.

It is possible by static queue configuration, not by RADIUS.

All profiles stores on billing - how mikrotik (future NAS) will know which queue to apply on a user?

For PPPoE user per username.

I understood this I use pppoe and all queus send to ROUTEROS via AV pair Rate-Limit += “2M 2572k 1536k 8 8 1536k”,
How can I sent to RouterOS
that all traffic in (192.168.0.0/16 and 10.0.0.0/16) queue must be 10M/10M
all other (INTERNET) queue must be 1M/1M
So on each pppoe interface I would have two queue - for LAN and Internet


via RADIUS AV pairs can I do it?

No, you can do it by static queue configuration (not by RADIUS).

eth1 - WAN-Inaternet with NAT
eth2 - for radius aaa
eth3 - LAN interface abonet net

I have sim 600-700 pppoe and 15 min interval for alive (update packets) -
when I see in RouterOS log “radius timeout” ROS on LAN interface (ether3) freezes

I solve this problem in two ways

  1. Reboot -ROS - all is ok after reboot
  2. or just disable or enable ether3

I sent many suppout.rif on 3.30 version
I can sent today one more time when it will crash again
I dont understand why ether3 freeze and do not answer on arp request - after disable and enabling this interface - everything is ok
