DIFERENCE BETWEEN TX POWER-REAL TX POWER AND TOTAL TX POWER

Hi, I found a question to make the link calculation with mikrotik, eg, in calculating mikrotik link (http://www.mikrotik.com/test_link.php) or otherwise, asking for the power of transmision. The question is: What power I put of all the power contained in the Current Tx Power window. As default mode, there are various powers under the Rate?. In addition to which there is a Tx Power, a Real Tx Power and a Total Tx Power. What Power do I use of them?

If someone is very clear, the questions are:

  1. The difference between:
    -Tx-Power:
    -Real Tx-Power:
    -Total Tx Power:
    current tx power.jpg

real tx power is single chain power and total is dual chain power, real+3dbi=total

It doesn’t add up:/

real tx power is single chain power - ok
and total is dual chain power - so total is 2xreal?
but then you saying that total is real+3dbi (from where did you get this 3dbi?)

may I ask you to clarify?

20dbm+20dbm=23dbm
20+3=23 is for beginners

Yeah, dB’s are logarithmic units. Convert them to mW to actually compare in linear scale if you like..
