Difference between interface-status and wireless-status

Hi there,

may someone explain me the difference between LED interface-status and wireless-status? If no client is connection to a wlan interface it changes from R(unning) state also like a “normal” interface does.

So where’s the difference?

Best regards,
Joerg

if you by LED interface mean ethernet interface then - if no wire is connected and link is not established, then interface has running flag unset and interface is off. For wireless interface even if interface is with running flag unset, interface is working actively, either sending beacons, scanning spectrum for AP to connect to (scanning for beacons).

Ok, that means that wireless-status will only be active when there is at least 1 registered client?

yes, that is correct
