difference between routeros??

Hi,

In the Download page on Mikrotik website we have an option to select the “DEVICE” for downloading RouterOS.

Wanted to know is there any difference in the RouterOS of each “DEVICE”???

I don’t think so. I think the difference is drivers! But that is a guess based on that different devices need different drivers! :slight_smile:

There is a difference, but only in the CPU class, ‘Device’ just helps you pick the right one. At the moment there is four different CPUs (mipsbe, mipsle, powerpc, x86), and one more seems to be on ots way.
