a long time ago i setup a link with 2 RB SXT 5HnD.
Now i think the “sender” is damaged because when i connect a ethernet-cable direct to a pc the connection appears and disappears in a endless loop.
So i want to buy a new one. But exactly the same are not exists in the Market here where i am. The only close to my RB SXT 5HnD what i can find here is:
MikroTik SXT 5HPnD and my Question is if it is compatible and what are the differences between this two and for what stands the “P” in 5HPnD … not that I know about the other letters.
another one who i can find here around and relatively fast is:
RBSXTsq5nD & RBSXTsq5HPnD [same questions for this devices] but i think this maybe can’t connect to my already in the mast old RB SXT 5HnD right?
thank you for the link!
the question, If it is compatible with my older one “RB SXT 5hnD” remains. But i think it should be! right?
Looking around i found another option that i have on a price very close to the, in the first post mentioned, RB SXT 5HPnD. It’s the “RBSXTG-5HPnD-HGr2”
I figured out -from the above link- that the G in “RBSXTG” means the Gigabit ethernet port and the HG means High Gain, but i didn’t find out what the r2 stands for. And the most important question is, if this one (the RBSXTG-5HPnD-HGr2) is the better choice in compare to the “RBSXT-5HPnD” ?
I can’t tell you for sure what the “r2” means but when the Groove 52HPn started having “r2” at the end of the model name the only difference I noticed was that the “r2” had flash memory. Other than that the Grooves functioned identically. I’m not familiar with the hardware you are referencing but if it has the same license level as your previous hardware then it will probably be compatible with the appropriate configuration.
