Different Bandwidth allowance for private and public ip's

Hi can i have Different Bandwidth download, upload allowances for private and public ip’s, my plan is to have say 10Mbit allowance for the internal network which uses private ip’s and 5Mbit for public ip address’s, can this be done at the AP, also i use pppoe to clients cpe’s

thanks,

Sure. Mark according to source and destination addresses and use queue trees for those packet marks. There are countless examples of service levels on the wiki and in forum threads - just adjust them based on IP addresses rather than ports.

Thank you, just a few more questions
can the queue tree be programmed on the client cpe’s as opposed to the AP’s, as i don’t want to load any extra processing on to the AP if the cpe can handle it, also i have different private ip address’s used on my network 10.152.x.x and 10.100.x.x

You can queue anywhere you like.

Use address lists instead of directly referring to addresses and that is not a problem. Hell, write a list that matches all RFC1918 space and you are future proof within IPv4.
