Difficulties with CPEs and my new AP -

Hello forum!

I have installed a AP in a new village.

AP is a WRAP-Board mit MT OS 2.9.6.
Wireless cards are CM9.
For CPE I am using CAP2/5 boards.
Frequencies 5.4 to 5.7 Ghz.

With this scenario, my other APs work fine.

But now, clients have following problems:

  • Websites do not load completely
  • Large pings (1500) have about 20% losses
  • Ping times at all are ok
  • BUT downloads from internet (e.g. Acrobat Reader) work without probs.

I found out:

  • The higher the frequency, the better the results, but never perfect.
  • No other activities on the complete band
  • Changing the CM9, antennas, cables, pigtails does not help
  • The incoming backhaul-link works fine (5.4 Ghz)
  • No noise to be mentioned, good LOS
  • Settings like other, working APs
  • MTU=1500
  • clamp to mss does not help

I would be glad to solve this problem as fast as possible, because in two weeks another WISP wants to get online in this village.

I thing you have to set a better DATA RATES or try to apply a Bandwidth policy and see if it help.
