DIN rail mount enclosure?

Hello everyone,

I am new here and new to Routerboard (and RouterOS!)

I am wondering - has anyone found a nice enclosure for a RB411 board (with clearance for a sierra MC8705 3G card) which allows for mounting onto a DIN rail?

The unit will be inside another sealed enclosure. All the other devices will be DIN-mountable, so it would be nice to mount the routerboard there too.

We will be installing quite a few, so it’s not really feasible to modify an existing enclosure. But not enough volume to justify fabricating a custom enclosure!

Thanks,

J

look on the made for mikrotik website http://www.mikrotik.com/mfm one of the suppleirs there should have something for your needs, or might be interested in making them for you, as they MFM and if there might be a need they might be willing to assist.

maybe something similar to this could be of use:

at least some more options can be brought to table on how this can be resolved.

Hi

I think we have the case that you need, this is the Release Candidate version, final version will be available on September.

The case is ready to put a RB411 series, and RB750UP for Switch/Poe.

All the holes will be with SMA/RPSMA size, on RB411 RB you can use Mini-PCI wireless card to, and the card can be removed easily from the outside.

hi,

what is the status of the enclosure?

any update on the same?

Lets bring this post back to life: Any DIN-RAIL mountable RB411 enclosures that we know of, checking mfm…

Use something like this and then you can mod any enclosure to work on DIN Rail

Hi,

We simply used Mikrotik’s enclosures and bolted on a DIN clip sourced from RS Components (Part number 286-4244) - http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/din-rail-terminal-accessories/2864244/

Worked very well for us and if you are going to assemble the boards, you just need to drill ONE M6 size hole at the appropriate height/location in the enclosure and then screw it the DIN clip.

Ensure that the M6 bolt is short so as to not touch the DIN rail when mounted and also any electronics on the inside of the enclosure.

Rgds,
Mark.
