I’m trying to track down the root cause of an issue I’m having with my Directv Genie system. My Genie clients do not seem to find the main Genie DVR when Mikrotik router is connected. The issue I’m experiencing is the same as whats listed in the link below.
In the post the Directv rep states that the boxes communicate via a link local address. I don’t know if that helps with diagnosing the issue but I’m wondering if anyone has ever run into this issue as I am even sure where to start troubleshooting.
