Yesterday I configured yet another Disc Lite5 ac (with a 74:4D:28: MAC) , and discovered for the first time that this item also has a 2.4GHz radio , just like the SXT Lite5 ac used to have…
Has this change in hardware been announced somewhere? I cannot find it.
Not that it bothers me,I have never used this second radio on the SXT, but why does it have to be wlan1?
Trying to standarizing my config scripts, I have to pay attention to whether wlan1 or wlan2 is the active interface when configuring or updating SXT Lite5 CPEs…and I hoped that as these CPEs are being replaced I would “get rid of” this obstacle…but now it seems like the Disc Lite5 ac also has it.
I know a workaround can be made by scripting, but why can’t the 2.4 interface be #1 named wlan2 and the regular 5GHz one #0 wlan1? Then everything would be standard…
