Hi,
I have TP-LINK switch TL-SG2452 connected to mikrotik 6.42.11. On mikrotik I have OSPF enabled for remote networks.
Once if I enable RSTP on TP-LINK switch immediately my network became unstable (I loose many pings to my lan devices, to mikrotik, and remote devices)
On mikrotik I have this error:
10.1.0.1 is mikrotik LAN interface connected to switch. If I disable RSTP everything return to normal and these ospf errors are gone too.
Should I configure something more on mikrotik to have running STP or RSTP in my network?
Hard to say as you haven’t shown what you have configured so far. See my automatic signature for a hint.
Other than that, the only STP flavor which is truly interoperable between vendors is MSTP; RSTP and older implementations differ vendor by vendor.
Also, if it works with RSTP disabled on the TP-LINK, I suppose there are no multiple L2 connectionpaths between the Mikrotik and the TP-LINK, as otherwise there would have to be problems also with RSTP off. So a drawing of the topology is also necessary to understand what configuration will be the best one.
