Hi,
We would like to disconnect a PPPoE-user every 15 minute.
The purpose is to monitor the IP-address of the client from out monitoring system, and that way see that the PPPoE-server works as it should!
Can this be done by scripting ?

Use session-timeout in ppp profile - it will automatically disconnect users every specified time (say, 15m)
I only want to disconnect one spesific user every 15. minute.
We currently have appr. 1000 customers using the PPPoE-server, and I don’t want to have 1000 clients authenticate every 15 minutes!!
Want to disconnect one spesific client (that is set is set up with auto-reconnect), to be able to monitor that the PPPoE-server is functioning as it should!
Just add another profile and put this user in it. Other parameters you may copy from the old profile to the new one
We have a problem!
The PPPoE users, who are inactive they get disconnected and connected every 1 minute.
I dont see idle timeout option anywhere in the PPP profile.
Only Keep Alive Timeout option is there which shows 900.
How can we log out the PPPoE users completely if they are inactive for like 1 hour ?
because, right now, all the PPPoE users disconnect and connect every minute and they have eaten up al the IP range.
when you say disconnect, does that mean their account will get logged out and IP released ?
Then how does the device know, when they come back and try to access internet ?
