DISTANCE BETWEEN THE AP AND A STATION

Hi thank you all for your support, I got it to work as you directed.
Now the other problem I am facing is linking the units wirelessly.
The distance between the AP and the station is about 15KM air mile.
I am using an Omni directional antenna on the AP and a station is a parabolic
antenna. The is clear LOS and I have moved the station from one direction to
the other but still no progress. I want to know far the AP Omni can
go. Do you think the distance between the Omni and the station is too much?

No it isn’t too far. You should get a signal but quality of it depends on many variables. Check cables, connectors, wireless cards, setings…

Quit omni, use sectors or panels!

no chance to get 15 km with omni

I do all the time.

I can see my omni antenna up to 25-30 km with 16dbi client antenna. The speed isn’t perfect, but it’s work… For basic use it’s ok.

What kind of Omni antenna you guys using? dbi make model? these are posative feedback on the omni antenna! Im glad because I plan to use the same method of connection, however I have to be carefull on height and dbi of antenna… “The Doughnut”
