i am new in this forum. i am the system administrator of our company. we are using 10mbps dedicated speed. i have given every user to 512/512 with the help of simple queue. But sometime i see large amount of bandwidth remain spare,whereas someone have to spend too much time to download a file. i want a way that in this case extra bandwidth will given to persons who needed more.

Use PCQ to equally divide the bandwith to users:
sir, I want to distribute only unused bandwidth. not the whole. as far I know pcq for whole bandwidth.
suppose, we have 10mbps speed. after using whole speed only 2mbps left. i want to distribute only this two mbps speed to the persons who need more to perform their task quickly.
You can specify a pcq rate, for your example 2mbps, or make a queue in a queue using queue tree…
If you don’t specify a rate, it will divide the total bandwidth equally between users or connections…
