Distribution on 5.8ghz.

Hello Everyone.
I am running an ISP here on 2.4ghz setup on Mikrotik with users connecting via hotspot. As there is alot of interference issues with 2.4ghz band, i am thinking of shifting to 5.8ghz for new customers. As ther are advantages of 5.8 there are limitations too, as it is not easy to install CPE as in 2.4ghz. I had earlier gave it a try with 18dbi hyperlink antennas with mikrotik Rb433ah and 52hn cards as ap-bridge. I used 711 as station which had even a 18db antenna on it as well. During testing i was not able to get any range at all.So i dropped it at that time. Can anyone plz suggest me where i could have been wrong earlier in the setup.
Secondly, what is the ideal 5.8 setup in Mikrotik for distribution?
Thirdly, is Ubiquiti better than Mikrotik…As is advertised?

Thanx.

5.8 is very simple and easy to deploy.

I think may you setup not correct. Btw, can you tell in more detail then only we can figure out what happened.

OOOPS! I forgot to check the “Notify When a Reply is Posted”. What else do you want to know about the setup?
