Hello, I am trying to add a CNAME record to my desk RB2011. I need the CNAME record to point to http://:8080~~~.unifi-hosting.ui.com/inform. This would allow me to not SSH into new Ubiquiti devices to manually set-inform to that same URL. Unifi devices try to resolve unifi as a starting point, which works if you have a unifi controller locally hosted.
I created the “unifi” CNAME record but in the RB’s terminal, I get a “failure: dns server failure” with no extra information. How can I get more information about what is causing this error?
Edit: I am able to use nslookup from a device behind the RB2011 to resolve unifi to the correct URL with a NS record, but not for a CNAME record. I can post my config if that would help. Thanks.
