In universal client interface, where can a DNS server address be specified for the universal clients to use? I have the universal client interface working and clients can ping Internet IP addresses but cannot resolve a host name.

The clients of the Universal Client do not notice the Universal Client - it is not a DHCP or something like that, but a completely invisible address translation. No magic is involved here. Accordingly, you must specify at least something as a DNS server for the clients on the clients. Then that something you will be able to DST-NAT to the actual DNS server
Thanks for your reply. The clients are set up with just random static addresses including DNS server addresses. The addresses to translate to (i.e. source addresses for the client to use in the LAN and masquerade to the public address on the public interface), are set up on the MT and work fine. Each client can ping a host on the Internet but cannot resolve a host name.
There must be some way to tell MT to translate the DNS address set on the clients to a real DNS, no? Or must the DNS server set on the client be real?

You will need to redirect the DNS port to a reachable DNS server or the routers DNS-cache. Hotspot instructions should show how to do this.
