do i need a repeater?

hi, i have a 433 rb with a atheros n wireless card (ground floor)

on that rb have a 2,4ghz signal as access point, but i have a signal problem on first floor.

it is possible put a rb with wireless card as repeater on first floor, connected to the same signal of 2,4 ghz used as access point?

i think i have to configure the second rb as station, and connect the pc at the ether of the second rb, right? (like a point to multipoint, but at 2,4 not?)

you could set the repeater up as a station-pseudobridge and connect computer via wire; bridge it through; you could do the same but set as station-wds and put a wds entry in the ap side; or you could set both up as ap-bridge and do wds on both sides and connect the computer via wireless to the repeater. the first and second options are best but all should work find if set up correctly.
