do I need to use a crossover cable?

hi there,
i want to connect
CRS125-24G-1S-RM http://routerboard.com/CRS125-24G-1S-RM
to a
RB750GL http://routerboard.com/RB750GL

will i need a crossover cable to connect these?

I’m pretty sure you can use a straight through or crossover cable, either will work.

Pretty sure all ether ports on routerboards are Auto MDI-X

But, it was probably quicker to just plug any cable in and try it than posting on the forum :slight_smile:

heh true! at the time of post the mikrotiks were being shipped so i didn’t have them yet, wanted to make sure i have my cables ready to go when they arrive :slight_smile: and yes it works just fine without the cable. thanks guys

Yes. Mikrotik devices do their best only without the cables. :smiling_face:
