Does ECMP work with Hotspot?

I am trying to get 4 PPPoE modems working with ECMP through Hotspot.

When I enable Hotspot with all 4 modems connected via ECMP and no traffic goes through Hotspot.

Traffic will go through the ECMP gateway via a different network interface, one that Hotspot is not enabled on.

If I disable ECMP and just have 1 modem working Hotspot works fine.

Do I have to change some firewall/NAT settings for this to work?

Or does Hotspot really not like ECMP?

I am running 2.9.5 on a x86 box.

Thanks!

2.9.5 is old and buggy, you should upgrade to the latest and retest.

I actually tried to upgrade to 3.4.

I found that Web Proxy broke after the upgrade. The box seemed somewhat unstable after the upgrade but I didn’t test it for too long.

Is there a trick to getting Web Proxy working on 3.4? The box had a problem creating the file and/or starting the service.

Just to clarify though,

You are saying that it should work as advertised and I am doing it right?

There is no special NAT rules or Firewall problems to fix.

Thanks.

i run ecmp all the time, but not with web proxy (hotspot it fine, i think its webproxy thats the issue).

Does ECMP need any RIP or OSPF setup in order for it to work???
