I started using R5SHPn cards, but it heats a lot. I just wanna ask, do You use fans in outdoor cases ? Does fan affect on cards and signals ? Whats Your opinion? Thank You

The fan is good for the performance for the card and router.
You can not go wrong with this.
Better that the heat is reduced, the signal will not improve.
It will prevent the parts too warm and become unstable
I have a few R5SHPn cards and they do run hot even with no traffic, the heatsinks are very warm to touch, one in particular has component which I think is 4R7 on the board, it is too hot to touch after a few mins?
Have you connect antenna to this card?

Weird that they are so hot, maybe this is one of their properties and is this normal.
Overheating may be caused by high SWR … check if your antenna system is OK, that cables are OK, connectors are in good condition and soldered/crimped in a proper way and there is no obstruction close to the antenna that may cause high SWR …

Groove can get really hot but still performing nice
in summer sensor show >68C outside temperature around 40C
Attach a XR5 card to 433AH board onto a test antenna or dummy load (tried two other 433AH )and it runs nice and cool but put back R5SHPn and tried two others and they all run hot?
Extra cooling never hurts right I said.A fan mount is a good thing
We have used 5 these cards till now, and put fans near them. And yeah, they are not hot now, doing their job very well.. thanks
