Does Giga eth interface sync up?

Hi All,
Does the Giga Eth network interface on R500 board work? I have tried multiple Giaga deives, all fail to sync up with router board. They all work fine. Is there any special configuration or is this limitation? I am using OS 2.9.7

Who said that the RB500 had Gigabit ethernet?

Regards,
Christian

I was going to reply the same ,but it has been a while since I looked at the specs… The port should sync to a Gig device (Switch) @ 100Mb..
I cant say if it would sync via X-Over cable to a Gig device as I dont know that that is “allowed”…

I’d say it should sync to a GBit interface at 100 MBit, too, yeah. But he wrote

Thanks a lot for prompt response. I actually followed the router 2.9 OS manual and it said Gigabit ethernet interface. I am also using winbox to configure the router, which also has Gigabit settings. So, I assumed that it supports Gigabit. But when I looked router specifications (after your reply), it showed 10/100. Do you know which MT router supports Giga interface? I have looked some of this forum members talking about Gigabit and its performance.

Just about any “PC” configured with eather an add on card or an onboard Gig port is suported (If device is on the hardware support list)..

I ALLWAYS use Intel cards..
