I have a PowerBox Pro that is getting disconnected when a breaker trips on the other side of a PtP link. I was wondering if the unit has a beeper in it.
If so I was thinking of using a net watch to make an audible cue to the problem.

It is not in the spec nor block diagram so I would conclude there is no beeper.
Shoot… the hEX does… So I was “hoping”.
A beeper connected to one of the POE ports and then some SW function to switch it on/off ?
Just thinking out of the box (actually in the box, it needs to remain weather proof
)
Like this one:
https://timemachinescorp.com/product/piezo-buzzer-poe-wifi-clocks/
That one is a “Poe_Clock buzzer”, not a “Poe buzzer” (I don’t think these exist, it is a too simple solution), but one could get an el-cheapo Poe splitter with 12V output and connect an ordinary (12V) buzzer to it.
Or get an industrial buzzer (they exist with 24 and 48V) and connect it “directly”.
i think they dont expect anybody to be “hearing” the beeper in an outdoor device
so they retired it
Ok… poe powered led light then ?
But that one needs to be brought outside ![]()

This is at an outdoor event space. The unit is “inside” a kitchen that might as well be outside. Once the windows are open for service… its like having 2 completely opened walls.
However… I mounted the PowerBox Pro right above one of the main service window.
So a little Mario or whatever playing over a midi speaker would make clear what’s wrong.
I have 2 units. No beep.
Regards.
