Hey guys, is it possible for a packet to be marked by more than one packet-mark ? I am trying to do a quee tree setup where I first mark all download traffic and then split it into different categories depending on which user group it is for (priority). Then those groups are shaped through PCQ.
It seems to work fine - I just want to be sure if this is good idea. Or if there is better way to do it.
It does not support that, unfortunately. See here: http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/why-only-one-connection-mark-and-packet-mark/112483/1
and join that thread, and tell MikroTik you need this as well.
(and please use the search function before starting a new thread)
It is usually possible to do what you want with a single mark, see the Queueing based on DSCP examples elsewhere.
But there still are valid cases for multiple packet (and connection) marks!
