Hello. I am busy with purchasing a router for use at a new home, and I am looking for a WireGuard-enabled router. I have been recommended an RB951Ui-2HnD with a RouterOS V7 upgrade. Is this a good recommendation? Need feedback. Thanks in advance.
P.S. BTW are all RouterOS V7 features consistent between router models? (talking about WireGuard).
Depending on your requirements, this might not be a good recommendation.

But yes, installing ros7 will allow to use wireguard.

with some luck you can achieve about 20 mbps using wireguard on rb951 nothing much beyond that
much less if you use some other features
You would be throwing money away IMHO.
For future compatibility wiith MT RoS features sets, one should look at their ARM64 lineup.
I can recommend the HAPAX2 or HAPAX3 wifi routers in this regard ( ax2 is $40 more bucks and the ax3 an additional $40 on that )
i agree RB951 is almost 10 years old
