Doest Mikrotik support Intel?

Hi guys,
I’ve been to the shop today, I tried many Intel motherboard but
apparently mikrotik doesn’t support any motherboard intel motherboard
even old 945 and 946 chipset that works , ROS doesn’t detect its Intel Pro 10/100 onboard LAN.

What a shame, even I plug CF-to-IDE adapter or IDE hard disk it itself it doesn’t detect it.

Even Version 3.0 beta 9 doesn’t detect the IDE hard disk and nor the CF-to-IDE adapter…

what can we do about it? I like to make a router out of this board

and I didn’t even go for latest G33 or G35 chipsets.

Please help me out here.

Intel chip mainboard all support by MT.

But as we known, the NIC integrated in mainboard has 2 type.

One type is true NIC chip(such as intel 100/pro)

Other type is now prevailling soft-NIC, it work depend on your operation system(windows XP /2003).

So I suggest you add a single NIC after you buy a mainboard.

Are you sure about that?
then why would I receive HDD NOT FOUND error message before installation?
I tested all available boards and either this error
or none detected onboard LAN,

and I need all ports I can get. including PCI and PCI-X slot to make my router

I took my Mikrotik 2.9.43 CD to a computer shop and I bought a new memory, cdrom, ram,cpu and tried dozen of intel mainboard and it didn’t work. and it gives me NO HDD FOUND message !!!

can mikrotik officials confirm support of Intel G965 or Q965 board support ? if yes how to detect them?
also why intel vpro 10/100 is not detect at all as well?

probably you were trying sata disks. SATA is supported only in v3.0

honestly I’m sure that I know the different between ide and sata and I also know that
Sata is not supported in pre version 3.0

any response from MT officials?
why you don’t answer none of my email which was sent to support at mikrotik ?

I have seen it too.. so i had change my brand intel motherboard to an old 748 i guess pc chip and it work at all.

i had the same mesages like you and it was the solution for me.

excuseme for my poor english.
