Yesterday i reinstalled our Firewall.. I discovered that the crash i had was a total freeze of the PC.. I had the admin login on the console and then it froze up completely with the old configuration.. I did a totally new install with netinstall and made a simple config with 3 interfaces, 1 wan one dmz and one natted connection.. It worked like a charm until i enabled packet-flow.. Then it froze up again. Had to drive 1½ hour (again), reboot firewall and disable packet-flow. Now it has been stable for like 24 hours, but i’m not going to make any further configuration until i am closer to it
Above statement isn’t exactly true.. After discovering how fast this was on the wireless side i decided to put some simple firewall rules on my fw and suddently.. Boom.. New crash, but it came up after 2-3 minutes !? again but manage to make a supout. Have sent this to support@…
6 runs ok using pseudobridging. 7 seems to go away and can no longer log in. Also seems to reboot frequently. Have to do a hard reset to defaults to get back in touch with it then need to immediately set it back to 6 to use. Feels like a memory leak…
For me, M/T ROS v3.0 b7 is very stable, we’re using M/T RouterBOARD 532 as well as WRAP. Highly recommended for testing. Also, IGP such OSPF do the best.
There are only minor (? bugs) as follows:
-console has crashed if doing: /export file xxx
-dfs not working
