Dot1x Client improper start frame version

I am testing out a MikroTik CCR1072-1G-8S+ on firmware 6.47beta60 and need to get a working implementation of 802.1x Client to authenticate to my network.

When doing a packet capture the MikroTik sends out a Version 0 (Unknown) in the Start frame, where it should more appropriately send Version 1 (802.1x-2001)

Example:
MikroTik Start Frame:
mikrotik-start-frame.jpg
WPA_Supplicant Start Frame:
wpa_supplicant-start-frame.jpg
Open to ideas, but I think this will need to be patched in software.

I have filed a ticket with MikroTik support and they have acknowledged the issue, they plan to fix this in a future release with no ETA.
