I'm new to the Mikrotik world (patch before the wound)
I have a couple of Mikrotik routers and I want to join two separate areas at about 100m, my idea is to ask my internet provider to place single-mode fibre (DROP) between the two sites and use BiDi SFP to connect both areas.
My question is whether it is more convenient to use SFPs directly on the Mikrotiks or use an external transceiver
For 100 m that SFP BiDi recommends, that such are those sold by Aliexpress.

We have been using BiDi 10GBASE-LR for many years and it works perfectly. We always install the corresponding SFP+ modules directly in the MikroTik switches.
The bridged distance ranges from a few 100m to 5km. We currently mainly install 10GTek modules.
We mainly use SC/APC jacks in our distributors. If there are problems that are not caused by the SFP+ module, it is almost always due to problems on the fiber or with the splice.
If I have understood your setup correctly, I don't see any concerns here.
The MikroTik Devices in use are mainly CCR1009/1072 and CRS317 models.

Hi, oliver, Progress is slow, but testing on a Cisco C2960CE was successful; the switch recognized them immediately (JT-COM / JT-C351G).
