downgrade 2.9.40 to 2.9.27

Hi,
i have a routerOS in level 5. I have downgrade 2.9.40 to 2.9.27.it’s work.
But now, i want to upgrade 2.9.27 to 2.9.30 and fail…
In log:
-license does not support new version of xxxx-2.9.30..

What is the problem?

Netinstall allows you to upgrade from 2.9.x to 2.9.40.
Do you have any problems with the latest version 2.9.40 ?

i downgraded the version 2.9.40 to 2.9.27 via FTP and now i can’t upgrade the version 2.9.27 to 2.9.30 via ftp for example.
I belive that is problem with license but i don’t know..

You have to use netinstall, where is the problem to use 2.9.40 ?

there is no problem with version 2.9.40 but i try develop application that permits me upgrade and downgrade firmware.. via ftp…

Yes i know and i belive that applications are very good. The suite of tools for OS Mikrotik is very completed
Back to problem.. if i now want to upgrade 2.9.27 to 2.9.30 i need use netinstall? Do not i make via ftp¿?
For what reason in log i see the message of license problem?

because at time of 2.9.27 there was a different licensing policy. you have to use netinstall to overcome the old license limitations.

But i have a another mikrotik level4 that i can downgrade v2.9.27 and upgrade 2.9.3x without netinstall

Normis already explained to you, license policy is changed, previously time was specified until the last upgrade (most likely router has reached this time, that has problems with upgrade).
Currently major release is specified in ‘upgradable-until’ menu, in other wods you can upgrade to the latest version of release shown in ‘system license’.
