So after trying out 4 beta on my 333, and following the licence upgrade process, the radios would not be visable in AP Bridge mode but worked fine in station mode. Assuming it was a bug after trying various r52s i opted to downgrade back to 3.22, only to find the licence had gone. Tried to paste the backup of the licence in from my MT account only to find MT had updated it online aswell. So im stuck with a 1 day demo licence on an AP out in the field with a client connected in station mode. The clock is ticking, can anyone save me a cost of a call out and a new licence fee???
Also, anyone else had the issue where SSIDS are just not visable even from 12 ft away and the radio cards clearly work as a station?
tried with R5, R52 And R5n all 3 radio interfaces are the same! I know some licence levels are non AP but i assumed it would grey out the option.
RB333 was previously Level 4
tried the use search, the licence only appears under the new Soft ID, the board is stuck with the older one. No back up in the file menu as i tried a normal restore. Now i cant upgrade to 4 beta again as im on a demo licence! HELP
of course i had a licence before, its an RB333 they come with level 4.
i have added it to my account, its in a virtual folder from the dealer, but like i say, since the update to 4, the soft key has changed in the virtual folder aswell. no sign of the original.
ive tried again to add it to my account with the original soft ID, but that didnt work. trial has finished and ive had to swap the board out now.
ill be gutted if i have to pay a new licence. Ive requested replacement but had no response for 2 days.
found no warnings of this issue if i downgraded. thought that having a licence backed up in my account with MT would be safe as houses.
well, that’s simply not possible. if the key was in the folder, it’s still there. contact Mikrotik support with your serial number, and we will help you find the old key
