Download is always faster than uploads.

I use simple queues for bandwidth management. I give every euqal upload/download speeds. I have 3 tiers of speeds levels

1meg, 2meg and 3meg. all should be equal upload/download

I have a bandwith test setup at http://www.surfnetc.com/bw
please feel free to test it, and report back the speeds, we have a huge internet pipe.. 10meg w/ 100meg burstable
My cleint at best reports uplaod speeds at 1/2 the download. Most common is the the upload with be below 100kpbs whereas the download will be very close to there tiered speed.. aka 1meg or 2meg or 3 meg

All my cleints connect at 2.4 with prism 200mW mini-pci cards.
here is a look at my queues.. I have 25 APs and all of them have the issue

ok, I guess nobody has that problem.. CAn some people please test my BAndwidth meter and let me know what results you get? Maybe iit is my bandwidth meter.


Can anybody tell me how to prioritise(spelling?) outgoing traffic.

I tested on 10meg fiber and got 1.2 down and .34 up.

While we offer "symmetrical " speeds, the reality with half duplex wireless is that downloads tend to be faster.
