I have this network diagram:
There is a IPTV server in LAN1 and IPTV client in LAN2.
There is a wireless point-to-point link with Mikrotik SXT devices. Configured bridge wlan and eth interfaces.
All works great, the IPTV streaming is working well, the only problem is that if I use high bandwith in the wireless link (copying big files between LANs…), the streaming use to pause and use to pixelated.
The IPTV server have a option to assign DSCP/TOS for streaming, so I want to use it to priorize the traffic. The limit is in the wireless link it could handle 70mbps, all other networks devices work in 1gbps.
The DSCP available options are: Default, CS0, CS1, AF11, AF12, AF13, CS2, AF21, AF22, AF23, CS3, AF31, AF32, AF33, CS4, AF41, AF42, AF43, CS5, EF, CS6 and CS7.
So this is my questions:
- Which DSCP value could I select?
- In which routers could I configure it? In RF or main routers? In all routers?
- Any example of the configuration?
I will really appreciate your help, this is my first time with QoS in Mikrotik.
