I currently have DSL line and TP-Link router but wish to incorporate Mikrotik rather.
Please note still very much a newbie when it comes to Mikrotik, but eager to learn.
Basically want to do the following:
Current Hardware:
TP-Link Router TF-8151N (no WAN port)
MikroTik RB9412nD hAP lite SOHO 2GHz WiFi Router
I basically want to run my DSL via the Mikrotik, so if my logic is correct the DSL router must be in Bridge mode, and the PPPOE setup and config all goes via Mikrotik.
Do note however the TP-link only has standard DSL RJ11 line port, and then 4 LAN Ports.
I also would like to run a failover on the setup as well in the sense of multiple dsl accounts setup, should one of the ISP’s experience issues, it must automatically switch over to the other account.
Furthermore, from the specs of the Mikrotik HAP lite, i sense the wireless coverage might not be as good as that from TP-Link Router, so in that case might be needed to bridge the Wi-FI and maintain use from the TP-Links Wireless ?
Other than the above, which to have IP Address reservation (Static IP’s) for my devices on the network, as well as be able to run a DDNS / NO-IP service from the Mikrotik for my remote PC access.
If anyone can assist me with this, or now of some sites and guides i would greatly appreciate it.
