Dual Backhaul Mesh

Hi All,

I’ve been playing around with this for a day or so now with out much luck. At the moment i have 3 435G’s each with two r52Hn cards and 4 antennas each. On the test bench i have two separate meshes going on different channels. All is good there. How do i take the two meshes and essentially bond them together? The whole idea going down the dual radio path was the replicate what the high end manufacturers are doing with their dual back haul mesh units that Aruba and Ruckus make, and achieve higher mesh speeds for either AP clients on a third radio or simply Ethernet access at each node.

Is there something obvious i have missed or should i not be trying to make two separate meshes and bring them together. I’m rather tired at the moment, It’s 1:30 in the morning here so perhaps i’m missing something rather basic. Anyone’s thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks

Andy

Sounds so familiar. Maybe this will help. Haven’t rely played with mesh that much but have been toying with something similar where you make use of OSPF to route TX data on one channel and RX on the other channel and if one should go down the one still up, will run all the traffic. Somebody did write a wiki on this and also saw it on Butch Evens site.
