We are using a HP Server. We travel throughout the world so access the server remotely. We use a static ip to access the server when outside office. In office we work through a LAN. At present we are using a service provider whose internet speed fluctuates very much. We want to take one more internet connection and want speed of both connection get combined when both are working and if one is down then other work.
We had tried TP Link dual balancing router. It combined the speed for browsing but we could not work in outlook.
Please advise if there is any router/device/configuration which can solve our problem.
It depends on how much bandwidth you want to pass through the router, and what level of QOS will it have if any. Also how do you connect to it from the remote locations, are you using any IPSEC?
You see, almost any router of MikroTik can do that with PCC configuration, but the power of the router should be chosen based upon the above requests.
Also, keep in mind that if one provider is not behaving constantly but the service fluctuates a lot, that can give strange issues on the load balancing. The router does not know how the packets are coming, it just considers it to be a constant. If you configure the router to send 1 packet through first provider and 1 packet through second, but the performance of the first is such that the ratio could go from 1:1 to 1:3 for example, the router can not foresee it.
