Dual Boot

Sorry, I think that I just asked this before, but I don’t get the answer.

Is it possible to put Mikrotik and FreeBsd on the same HD to work with dual boot?

I want to have the options of wireless to analysis the traffic on some locations.

MT doesn’t support Dual Boots.

If they are on different hard drives, you might be able to get FreeBSD’s boot manager to boot from the second drive - I dont think that should be a problem.

Alternatively maybe look at VMWare Workstation (it’s in the FreeBSD ports too). Then you can even run both at the same time…

Thanks Savage,

Can you help with the use of Mikrotik with VMWare on FreeBSD?

How do I install the mikrotik using vmware?

Another doubt: if I buy a pen drive will I able to install mikrotik on the pen drive and boot from it?

PS: I’m installing in my laptop, then I just have one HD.

If you install Router Os first, then modify it’s partition with partition magic , Router Os can boot with other system , such as windows .
I aready get it now.
