Hello!
I managed to set dual-streme link using AR9390 3x3 mimo, but although this generation of
atheros is supported when using normal link when using nstreme+dual there is no control to enable 3 streams.
In terminal it looks like this
[admin@2i5DUALNStremeA] > interface wireless nstreme-dual set ht-streams=
both double single
I understand single but what is the difference between both and double?
It just lacks either - triple - or simple checkbox selection for enabling chains.
If there is already supported chipset why not enabling three streams to use it in nstreme-dual?
Maybe runing ospf simulation of FDX link is a solution…
Nobody wants do have 300/100 mbps link ?
right now on ar9390 HDX traffic is as high as 335mbps ,
adding another dual nstreme link even single chain makes
as for today i’ve managed to pass
250mbps/100mbps on dualnstreme wit rock solid ping.
but third chain is simply off because it lacks a control to enable it…
MiktoTik supports only 2x2 with NS-Dual, but it’s not a problem because you can do the same behavior with OSPF. I have similiar results to yours with AR9380 cards.
With OSPF it’s possible to get … 250Mb TCP FDX througput.
Wow!! 300/100 it’s excelent result. But I think you are testing it with UDP, am I right?
A few more quwstions:
What platform do you use?
From where you can get AR9390? I can’t find it anywhere in Poland.
What with your antenna system?
PS. Lets use english here, because many people here can’t understand polish.
PLatform x86, bandtest in mikrotik shows poor performance when doing tcp test
because of cpu. so tcp test should give equal to udp results
when there is enough horsepower. simply doing tcp test to lo shows capacity of machine,
if it pushes 500mbps on tcp than it should be enough to max out this link.
as i used rb2011l to do the testing tcp simply it was not enough and i can’t confirm that it was
3oo/1oo tcp.
I think that TPLINK WND4800 is easily available in many eshops over the country
Now my problem is as I see EoIP over wifi doesn’t obey framer policy. the same link tested
within ip adresses of wlan interfaces works correctly using framer policy band test with 50b packet size
kills whole idea…
should I use some other kind of tunnel ?
Why are you using EoIP? If you want to have L2 bridge, use station-bridge mode, or try to use mpls.
I’m also using x86 with 3x3 and I have WND4800 too But i’m pretty sure, that this card have AR9380 chip, not AR9390. My board can handle almost 400Mbps TCP fdx (Intel Atom).
Where exacly in Poland are you making your tests?
