Dual Nstreme

Has anybody run 2 Dual Nstremes in Parallel?

I need to put up a high speed link between 2 points, I am looking at using 3 RB600 and 1 daughter board and 16 panel antenas, there will be 1 High sight as I have a ridge in the way.

or any suggestions?

tomorrow i’m going to use two dual nstreme and i’ll post the results as soon as i can …

Ya I tried it over the summer. Was really excited about it when I ran the tests on the bench. HORRIBLE performance in the field. Very dissapointed. I kept all the settings the same as I had at the office. Good signals at both ends, but the throughput was absolutely horrible. It was around 10M down/ 3M up. When I turn OFF dual-nstream and run just one link in AP-Station WDS mode, speed ratcheted up to 48/48M 100% CCQ. If you want to “dual-stream” it, I suggest running 2X2 MIMO with both chains.

Oh and I might add, you have to “lock” in both sides on a set frequency, meaning that if you run into interference on your links, you can’t change the master frequency because the slave side is locked on one freq, you WILL have to make a trip to both sites to change frequencies.

I have done a drawing of what I was talking about. If anybody can help, please post a reply.

What thruput you need ?

i’m doing almost the same topology with two dual nstreme… as i guesed you want to agregate links for maximum thruput..

when i did this using routing i coudn’t double the thruput…
but now i’m going to configure vpls tranparent bridges per wireless link and bonding feature on rb1100(bond 4 interface)..maby it will work…
