Dual Radio & Single Band to user Wireless Uplink

Hi all,
i’ve to find a solution for this scenario…

  1. There is a a 802.11bgn Wireless Network that i’ve to use as uplink.
  2. There are some other wireless devices (IPADs, Wireless camera, ecc), the have to connect to a new secured SSID, using 802.11/b/g/n standard.
  3. I need a device that give wireless connectivity to clients and use WiFi for the uplink…

What i thought is that:

  1. i can not use a single radio device, becouse even if i can have more SSIDs, i can not have different “role” into the Radio Interface (Station and Bridge).
  2. i can not use a well known dual radio device, because it has one 802.1/b/g/n and one 802.1/a/n device.

So, is there any ready to use Mikrotik devices?
Have i to choose RouterBoard, interfaces, antennas, case, ect…?
Have you got any suggestion?

Thanks in advance,

N

There is no such ready made device. You need to use some that could be equipped with two independent radios. You can choose according to your performance and feature needs.

Thank you Jarda,

you’re right, thank you for the confirmation.
My first choise will be an RB with two m-PCI-e, two 802.11g radio interfaces and a case, an “HAND MADE” solution.
The alternative, low level and cost-effective solution, could be a couple ho RB: one as AP, one as Station…

thank you gain,

I’d use two different RBs. Depending on uplink speed and available signal, a mAP could suffice for the uplink, then a cable to a 951G 951Ui or 2011UiAS-2HnD as your SSID AP.

This way you can place each other optimally.
