Hello fellow mikrotik users,
I am a somewhat desperate home user with the following problem.
I have a small home network and two internet providers (one via wireless link with unlimited traffic but miserable speeds and one over LTE with about tripple the speed but only 100GB traffic per month). Wireless link provides me with a fixed external IP address that is probably fully port forwarded to my home router (Mikrotik 751G-2HnD with routeros 6.10) where I port forward what I need to where I need (mostly the NAS box). The LTE internet connect is via a ZTE MF821D USB stick stuck into a TP-LINK TL-MR3420 running OpenWRT Huntsman Red. I have set up dynamic hostnames for both internet connections.
The primary idea for the LTE internet was to act as a failover for when the wireless link fails (it did quite often for a while). As occasionally I need to utilize the faster speeds of the LTE connect I can manually switch to the LTE net by changing the distance parameter on the route for it. What I can’t get to work is connecting home from the outside via the LTE faster link. From the way it looks to me, even when I get inside throught the port forward of the tp-link, the mikrotik router ignores the incoming connection as the route is not active due to its higher distance (at least that is my theory, the other theory is that the incoming packets get through, but the reply goes out via the wireless link and gets ignored at the source of the request).

Can anybody suggest a solution (port forward, route, bridge) how the get both internet links to connect to the internal network?
