I am facing a problem in my home config (i have setup dual wan via PCC, traffic shaping with queue tree, openvpn and some more stuff, i kinda shared my config when i asked about WOL problems in another post, if it is relevant).
My ADSL provider uses an old modem/router that is in BRIDGE mode, leaving the mikrotik to dial the connection.
My Cable Modem provider has 2 options, a router that can be set in bridge mode, and one that CAN’T, and i got the second one… so i set the mikrotik in the router’s DMZ…
Now, if the cable modem provider has issues with their connection, my mikrotik seems unaware (ping is always ok, the router is not shutdown when there is no internet), and i can’t access internet from my house unless i cut the power to the 10MB router, or unplug it’s ethernet cable from my mikrotik.
Is there any trick to workarround this issue?
