I whant to run dude 2.2 as a service on a Win 2003 server and followed the wiki from mikrotik (http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Dudes_as_a_windows_service).
The problem is that there is no ‘dudes.exe’ only ‘dude.exe’ (without leading ‘s’) that seams to be the client of dude.
What should I informe as the executable for the Dude_server at ‘Application’ value in registry ?
Thanks,
Alexander
Hi there, i also tried running dude as a service, and followed the guide, but still didn’t work out, but luckily, if you click on the “SERVER” button with the green indicator on the menu bar, you can specify it to run as a service, activate it, then:
If you close dude, you will see that it is running in the task mannager.
Another way to test it, is by logging out of w2k3, and trying to remote connect to the dude server, if you reach the dude server and can log in, it is running as a service…
Hope it helps
