I have Dude 3.4 on a Win2k3 box.
In the list of Probes I used the “minus” icon to remove all the probes, just leaving ping.
So I removed the ftp probe, telnet probe, ssh probe etc
(the reason is that I have some kit which may be crashing due to the continual ftp http and telnet probes)
I even disabled all the different probes when discovering services.
(the kit is a hardware unit to send video over the lan from a remote camera)
However twice now I have found the kit on my network has failed at when I check The Dude, I was amazed to find that all the Probes (all 27 of them) were back in the list of things to probe.
And they were all back in “Settings->Discover->Services”
How can I ensure the Probes stay disabled?
The only thing I have done different with The Dude recently is change it to Only run when Local Client, as I needed to turn off all the network traffic during some other tests.
Any ideas?
