Dude 3.6 with Routerboard RB-450G and ROS 4.6

Hi All,

My network uses the RB-450G exclusively, plus a couple of PC-based ROS units.

I made a decision the other day to use The Dude on some of these devices as remote Dude servers to monitor the APs and assorted items on there.

All of my Mikrotik routerboards and the PCs are running v4.6.

I loaded The Dude package for routerboard onto a bench RB-450G and when it rebooted, the processor usage went to 100%, and I could not login to the Dude web page at /dude. This is a bit distressing. This has now occurred on every single RB-450G I have in stores (17) which I spent all night trying out.

Each RB-450G is a standard Hotspot routerboard and port 80 is opened to 0.0.0.0. I have been scouring the Dude forum looking for possible solutions but have found none. I sure wish there was a Wiki page for setting up the ROS version of the Dude.

Can anyone offer some advice, or has anyone else had this same experience with ROS v4.6 and the new Dude 3.6 ROS package? I do not have the 3.5 package to run tests with.

Just for your info:

The same problem occurs on all 17 units with ROS 4.7 and Dude 3.6.

Can someone else please try to replicate this issue on their equipment?

Thanks!

Just for the record: I can’t make it work on 4.9 either. :frowning:

4.8 wasn’t around long enough to even try.

Has anyone had success with this?
