I’ve been reading the documentation on how to set up Dude agents on Mikrotiks out in the field, but have a question or two that I just can’t seem to find the answer for.
I’ve got a master server running the Dude where I create my maps and add devices to them. I have installed the Dude package on several Mikrotiks and registered them as agents in the master server. This relationship is working, and I am able to create devices on maps on the master server, which is able to remotely poll and monitor the devices behind the Dude agents. However, it seems to me that the agent is doing little more than acting as a repeater for polling data to/from the master server.
Is there a way to add devices and maps to a Dude agent, and then have them automatically appear on the master? Barring that, is there a way to tell the master to pull all maps and devices, etc from an agent and add them to its maps, but leave the actual polling tasks to the agent?
