I suppose I wont be thanked by MT for raising the question, but, in view of the apparent incompatibility between WINE and AntiX (debian wheezy type), and the same issue of “unable to ping”…

Looking for alternatives to monitor multiple deployed MK’s
It would seem, that after a brief look on numerous tools, OpenNMS seems to be the spiritually closest to Dude. I heard people willing to throw money to make Dude truly obsolete - maybe that’s a good target? Oh, and guys that want to open-source the dude so they can make things better can have a go at it too. Who knows, maybe since Mikrotik doesn’t really make dude a priority, maybe some OpenNMS agent could be worked out? Just my $0.03
